GearIt 2 re-submitted…

July 17th, 2010

I had to re-submit my app today. It was rejected for using location services when the app did not make use of the location services.

So I removed that code, and will add it back once I get those future additions done.

So it looks like it will be another week before it’s either approved or denied.

GearIt 2 submitted to app store…

July 5th, 2010

Ok, it’s been a long time since my last post and I have been really busy with my day job. Which has prevented me from releasing GearIt 2, sorry. But I have finally found the last couple of bugs, fixed them and I have submitted the application t the App store for review. I’m hoping it will only take a couple of days!

Hey, I have released an update to the default car list. It’s now at version 1.1. I made two corrections to the list. The Losi XXXBK2 and the XXXTMF2 had the wrong ratio’s, they were set to 2.43 and have been changed to 2.56.

Looking for more cars to add!

When GearIt v1.1 finally gets released, it will have 119 different cars. This is a pretty good number of cars but, I’m looking for more I have sent emails to most of the different manufactures but only heard back from a few.

Team Corally
Team XRay

If anyone has any contacts at other manufactures that I can contact please let me know. I would really like to make the list as complete as possible.

GearIt 1.1 re-submitted to app store…

So, my GearIt v1.1 app was rejected because the update car list feature was not network aware. So I have made it network aware and I have re-submitted the app. It’s time to play the waiting game again!

GearIt v1.1 has been submitted to the app store…

March 26th, 2009

Ok, after weeks of development I have finally finished version 1.1 of GearIt. This version is a major update to the application. The whole app is a major overhaul to support the new features.

New Features –
• The Interface has been enhanced
• Slider for Spur & Pinion Gears now supports larger sizes
• Directional buttons to increment and decrement the Spur & Pinion Gear sizes
• The ability to add your own custom cars
• Update to the latest car list
• New Rollout view, you can now calculate for needed Spur, Pinion on a desired Rollout
• Added more cars from –
– Team Associate
– Corally
– Team XRay
– Traxxas

By the way, I really want to say thank you to everyone for their great feedback and suggestions. I was not able to get all of them in to this build but they are coming, namely being able to save Gearing info to be recalled later. I also want to thank all of the manufactures that responded with additional cars and praise.

Here are a few screen shots of what was submitted to the app store. So hopefully after a week or so the app will get posted.

GearIt status…

March 7th, 2009

Hey, so it’s been almost a week since I submitted v1.0.1 to the app store and still no status on it getting approved .

In that time I’ve been hard at work on a re-write which contains many of the features those of you have been asking for like a separate “Rollout” calculation page and the ability to add your own cars. I have the Gear ratio code done and the rollout code is done I’m now just working on the ability to add your own custom cars.

I’ll keep you posted on the progress and I’ll even post some screen shots when it’s in a better state.

Please keep the feedback coming!
